These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy (below), collectively constitute the legal terms on which agreements between Play Hosting, a trade name of Timbers Studio Ltd, and its Customers are based, and are governed by and should be construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
We reserve the right to amend any terms within these documents at any time without prior notice.
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you also agree to the Minecraft End User License Agreement, and those for any other games or software hosted on our platform, by authorising Play Hosting to accept this agreement on your behalf.
“Terms” refers collectively to any or all of the terms within our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy documents.
A “Visitor” is someone who merely browses our website, but has not registered as a Customer.
A “Customer” is an individual that has registered with us to use our Services.
A “User” is a collective identifier that refers to either a Visitor or a Customer.
“Personally Identifiable Information” (PII) is a term used in the context of data privacy referring to any data that can be used to identify a specific individual e.g. full name or email address.
“Our Services” refers to any or all of our website at play.hosting, its subdomains, associated domains, and our associated hosting services.
The terms “us” or “we” or “our” refers to Play Hosting, a trade name of Timbers Studio Ltd, the owner of Our Services.
All text, software, information, graphics, audio, video, and data that can be viewed, accessed or is offered through Our Services is collectively referred to as our “Content”.
By accessing Our Services, you agree to be bound by our Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. All content within Our Services is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
Permission is granted to download the materials (information or software) on Play Hosting’s website/associated websites for personal, non-commercial viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
When using any of Our Services, you are accountable for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account and password/authentication methods, and are responsible for all activities that take place under your account. This includes the disclosure to any third party, other than Play Hosting or its payment service providers, any Personally Identifiable Information that you obtain via the use of Our Services.
By using Our Services, you acknowledge and agree that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age but are at least 13 years old, you may only use Our Services with the consent of your parent or legal guardian.
You agree to maintain up-to-date account information to ensure Play Hosting can provide you with a reliable and responsive service.
Should you encounter any issues with your Play Hosting account or Our Services at any time, please contact us so we can address it in a timely manner.
Play Hosting guarantees a network and hardware uptime of 99.5% in any given calendar month for paid Services, including VPS and dedicated servers.
If uptime falls below 99.5%, Customers may request service credit by contacting us. Verified downtime will be compensated as account credit based on the length of the outage.
The SLA does not apply to:
Service credits are the sole and exclusive remedy for SLA breaches. Play Hosting is not liable for loss of profits, revenue, or data resulting from downtime.
Free hosting is provided on a best-effort basis. The uptime target for free services remains 26.82% in any given month.
If uptime falls below 26.82%, you may request compensation and, upon confirmation of eligibility, you will receive a selfie of Tubbo smiling.
When a Customer wishes to cancel one or more of Our Services, including their account on the Play Hosting platform, they must notify us of this via email at [email protected]
Our Services may contain links to third party websites. These links are provided solely as a convenience to you and do not create or imply any affiliation or recommendation between Play Hosting and the third party, unless specifically stated on the Play Hosting website. An exception to this is Lilypad, a trade name of Lilypad Technologies Ltd, which may be advertised as a “premium hosting partner”, and works in partnership with Play Hosting in order to provide you with access to Our Services.
Some Services provide Customers with direct operating system level access to virtual machines (“VPS Hosting”). These differ from managed game hosting services and carry additional responsibility.
Customers are solely responsible for all software, network services, traffic, and data transmitted from their VPS. Play Hosting does not manage, monitor, or secure customer-installed software except where required to maintain platform integrity, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Customers must ensure their VPS is secured, patched, and not exposed to unauthorised access. Compromise of a VPS does not exempt the Customer from responsibility for abuse originating from the VPS. We may restrict networking functionality, ports, or protocols where necessary to protect the platform, other Customers, or upstream providers.
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the terms between you and Play Hosting under which you may access and use our website at play.hosting, its sub-domains, associated domains, and our associated hosting services, any or all of which are hereafter referred to as “Our Services”. Our Acceptable Use Policy applies to all visitors to and Users of Our Services and your use of Our Services means you accept and agree to abide by all the terms in this Acceptable Use Policy.
You may use Our Services only for lawful purposes. You may not use Our Services to:

Customers remain responsible for all traffic originating from their server, including traffic resulting from compromise. We may suspend or restrict Services immediately where abuse, excessive resource usage or risk to the platform or upstream providers is detected.

Play Hosting operates a zero-tolerance policy toward network abuse complaints from upstream providers, law enforcement, or affected third parties.
We may suspend or null-route a VPS immediately and without notice where abuse is suspected. We are not required to provide prior warning where doing so could:
Repeated or severe abuse may result in permanent termination and refusal of future service. Refunds are not provided for services terminated due to abuse.
We will determine, at our sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of this Acceptable Use Policy through your use of Our Services. When a breach of this policy has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate.
Failure to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy constitutes a material breach of the Terms of Service upon which you are permitted to use Our Services, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:
We exclude liability for actions taken in response to breaches of this Acceptable Use Policy. The responses described in this policy are not limited, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.
We may revise this Acceptable Use Policy at any time and at our sole discretion. Some terms within this Acceptable Use Policy may also be superseded by changes to the other policies noted above, published on our website.
